Born in Jerusalem, Yair Karelic is a composer and guitarist whose work spans classical, avant-garde, and experimental rock idioms. He studied classical guitar and composition at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan.

Yair Karelic has composed music for several theatre productions, most recently El Monstre by Josep Maria Miró, which premiered at the Grec Festival in Barcelona in July 2025. He has collaborated with artists including Xavier Albertí, José Sanchis Sinisterra, Lluïsa Cunillé, Lurdes Barba, Lina Lambert, and Joan Diego.

His bands include Mystical Communication Service, City At Dark, The Tide, and his latest project, The Attention Span Crisis. 

His music is characterized by deep psychedelia, primarily instrumental textures, and a fascination with the objet trouvé.

For several years, Yair Karelic has contributed original music to Martino Semenzato’s choreography and Donna Volta Newmen’s visual works, forging collaborations that cross music, movement, and visual art.
